Treatment Matters
What Happens Without Treatment
Untreated STDs don't just stay still — they progress, silently. This applies to all 12 infections we screen and treat at HOP Medical Centre. Early treatment prevents serious long-term complications.
If you have been diagnosed — whether through our Package A, B, C, D, E or F screening — the hardest part is already over. Treatment is straightforward, effective, and completely private. You are not alone in this.
Bacterial STDs Can Cause Permanent Damage
Untreated Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea can cause PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease) in women and painful swelling of the testicles (epididymo-orchitis) in men — leading causes of infertility and ectopic pregnancy. Early antibiotic treatment prevents these outcomes entirely.
Syphilis Progresses Silently for Years
Untreated Syphilis advances through secondary and tertiary stages over years with no obvious symptoms — ultimately risking heart damage and serious damage to the brain and nervous system (neurosyphilis). It is fully curable with a single penicillin injection when caught early.

Treatment Guide
What We Treat — And How
All treatments follow Singapore MOH (Ministry of Health) and international clinical guidelines.
Not yet tested?
Visit our STD Testing page to find the right screening package for your profile — packages from S$117.72 incl. GST covering up to 12 infections.
* Viral infections (Herpes, HIV, Hepatitis B, HPV) cannot be fully cured but are effectively managed with long-term medical therapy. ART (Antiretroviral Therapy) for HIV can achieve an undetectable viral load — meaning U=U: Undetectable = Untransmittable.
** HPV screening is conducted separately outside the standard STD packages — speak to your doctor.
